چکیده
Abstract Background Uterine fibroid, the most common benign neoplasm of uterus, is associated with an elevated risk cardiovascular disease. The link between incident atrial fibrillation (AF) and uterine fibroid unclear because earlier studies focused primarily on development atherosclerosis hypertension. We aimed to investigate AF in patients fibroid. Methods This a retrospective cohort study using Korean National Health Insurance Service database (NHIS). From 2009 2012, total 2,574,349 women (20 40 years old) who underwent general health examinations were included. Diagnosis fibroids surgical treatment status was defined by international classification diseases, 10th revision codes, procedural codes from NHIS. primary outcome newly diagnosed AF. according their evaluated Cox proportional-hazard models. Results Of population, mean age 29.76±4.27 years, 20,682 (0.8%) identified have Incident 3,868 (61 group, 3,807 control group) during follow-up 7.3±1.1 years. Patients group showed higher incidence compared (0.41 0.20 per 1000 person-years, respectively, Figure 1). Multivariate Cox-regression analysis presented that independent factor AF: hazard ratio (HR) 1.50, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.16–1.93, p=0.002. Compared tend show lower for (HR 1.22, CI 0.79–1.90) than without 1.69, 1.24–2.30), though statistical significance indeterminate (Figure 2). After propensity score matching, when 1.77, 1.32–2.63, p<0.001), which line our main results. presence consistently among all subgroups except stroke subgroup. Conclusion are predisposed increased group. Careful monitoring arrhythmia would be warranted as it modest decrement Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None.

The risk of atrial fibrillation in patients with gout: a nationwide population-based study
Many studies have found that systemic inflammation plays an important role in the pathogenesis of atrial fibrillation (AF). Gout is a chronic systemic inflammatory disorder, but little evidence exists regarding whether the risk of AF is increased in patients with gout. The National Health Insurance Research Database in Taiwan was used in this study, and gout was defined as the occurrence of at ...

OBJECTIVE To investigate the risk of atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter in patients with periodontitis (PD) in comparison with individuals without PD. METHODS We used the 1999-2010 Taiwanese National Health Insurance Research Database to identify cases of PD in the year 2000 matching (1:1) with persons without PD during 1999-2000 according to sex and individual age as the control group. Us...
متن کاملIncreased risk of periodontitis in patients with psoriatic disease: a nationwide population-based retrospective cohort study
Aims Periodontitis and psoriatic disease, including psoriasis (PS) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA), share the common risk factors and co-morbidities. However, the risk of periodontitis in patients with psoriatic disease still needs further investigation. This study was a nationwide population-based retrospective cohort study assessing the risk of periodontitis from psoriatic disease exposure. M...
متن کاملIncreased risk of malignancy in patients with an aortic aneurysm: a nationwide population-based retrospective study
Background Cardiovascular disease and malignancy have numerous similarities and possible interactions, as these diseases share several risk factors, epidemiological features and biological signaling pathways. Data regarding the risk of malignancy in patients with aortic aneurysm (AA) are scarce. We aimed to determine whether patients with AA have an increased risk of malignancy. Materials and...
